Choosing a birthday party theme for girls is definitely a big challenge as kids get older. Whatever birthday party theme you choose, it is important to involve your girl with the organization. Ask your girl to give you ideas on different games. Remember that even the older girl loves to win prizes, so be sure that the games are prize winning.
Almost every girl wants to be a princess, so why not set your kid’s birthday party theme as Disney Princesses. Your daughter can invite her friends to dress up as her favorite Disney princesses, such as Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and Jasmine.
Whichever birthday party theme you choose to use for your kid’s party, be sure to use the same theme all the way through the party.
The first thing to do is send princess invitations. These invitation cards can be purchased from any retail store, or you can also get your girl to make her own. You can collect different Disney princess pictures from magazines or even download them from the Internet. Stick them on to thick paper and your kid can then write her invitation on the back of the princess picture.
For the birthday party food and drinks, get Disney princess plates, bowls, cups, napkins, table cover and plastic knives, forks and spoons. You can get them from various party or gift stores.
For the kids’s entertainment purposes, get them to make crowns and tiaras using craft kits or construction paper, stickers, glitter, glue and safety scissors. All kids win a small prize for doing this. It will pass the time and they will have great fun making them.
You could also include another game, such as search for Cinderella’s lost slipper, or Snow White’s poisoned apple, etc. The girl that finds the item wins a prize.
As with all parties of any kind, it is important to give party bags or boxes containing small gifts for the birthday party guests. Again stick to the birthday party theme of Disney Princess.
Some of the gifts for girls could include:
– Bubble Wands
– Glitter Glasses
– Rings and
– Compact Mirrors
Do decorate the house or location of the party with Disney Princess banners and balloons.
No matter what age we turn, we all enjoy a birthday cake, as a birthday just wouldn’t be the same without the cake and candles. Follow the theme by having a Disney Princess birthday cake. These can come in various shapes and sizes such as, a crown cake, enchanted castle cake, princess cake etc. I have seen many wonderful Disney Princess birthday cakes and I can tell you that they are fantastic!
After the party when everything has calmed down and been cleaned up, it is time to relax a little. But remember that to show good manners, it is important to send out birthday party thank you cards to every guest that was present at the party. As with the birthday party invitations, get your girl involved in writing the thank you cards, after all, it was their party. Again, stick to the theme of the party by sending Disney Princess thank you cards. They will certainly remind all of the guests what a wonderful themed party they had for your daughter’s birthday.
